Vertical carbon steel air receivers are adopted for 90% of automated production lines, featuring small footprint and convenient condensate sedimentation & drainage.
l Standalone small automated equipment (single machine unit, module, manipulator): Vertical type, 0.05~0.3 m³ (50~300 L)
l Full automatic production lines (injection molding, assembly, stamping, robotic production lines): Vertical type of 0.5 m³, 1.0 m³, 2.0 m³ (three most common specifications)
l Centralized air supply for large multi-workshop system: Vertical / Horizontal tanks of 3 m³, 5 m³, 10 m³

Pneumatic components for automation normally operate at 0.6~0.7 MPa (6~7 bar), with extra safety margin reserved for tank design pressure during specification selection:
1. For domestic China supply: Design pressure of 1.0 MPa (10 bar, most popular option), matching 0.8 MPa air compressors.
2. For equipment exported to Europe & America, 2 standard pressure grades: 1.0 MPa / 1.6 MPa
· Small tanks ≤142 L (5 ft³): With ASME UM stamping (in-house inspection only, no third-party AI witnessed NDT required)
· Standard tanks over 142 L: ASME U air receiver tanks
· Air tanks rated 1.6 MPa (16 bar) are specified for high-pressure pneumatic tooling such as clamping cylinders and booster cylinders.
l Ordinary workshops (automotive assembly, 3C automation, hardware production lines): Q345R pressure vessel dedicated carbon steel (preferred option), Optimal cost performance and stable pressure resistance.
l Humid or clean workshops (food processing automation, pharmaceutical filling, lithium battery automation): SUS304 stainless steel tanks, resists rust and prevents compressed air contamination from condensate and impurities; upgrade to SUS316L for strong acid corrosive service conditions.

Tank Volume ≈ Air Compressor Displacement (m³/min) × 0.4~0.8
l 7.5 kW air compressor (1 m³/min): 0.5~1.0 m³ air tank (standard for complete automated production lines)
l 22 kW air compressor (3 m³/min): 1.5~2.0 m³ air tank
l Single manipulator (small compressor: 0.2 m³/min): 100 L / 200 L air receiver
l Increase tank volume by 50% for applications with frequent peak instantaneous air consumption such as high-speed stamping and synchronous clamping of multiple cylinders, to stabilize working pressure and avoid pressure drop.
