Air receiver tanks are pressure vessels. Their design, manufacture, and certification are governed by strict international and local standards (like ASME in the US, PED in Europe, CRN in Canada). All customization must be done by the air tank manufacturer during the customization process to ensure integrity and safety.
While contacting an air receiver manufacturer to customize air tanks, customers should provide detailed drawings, or at least specify the following parameters:
1. Material:
Carbon Steel: The most common and economic material (Q235B or Q345R) of air storage tanks, typically painted.
Stainless Steel: For highly corrosive environments, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries. (SUS304 or SUS316). Significantly more expensive, can be polished or frosted
2. Capacity/Volume (Gallons or Liters):
This is the most common customization. Customers can also provide a draft indicating the air tank end diameter& length, as well as the tank body length (usually the diameter is the same as the tank end).
3. Maximum Working Pressure (PSI or Bar):
YCZX can customize different pressure, high pressure requires thicker steel and increases cost.
4. Thickness
The thickness of the air receiver tank ends and body, it directly affects the air tank pressure.
5. Ports and Connections (Nozzles)
This is where most of the detailed customization happens. You must specify the Number, Size, Type, and Location of all connections and flanges.
6. Legs & Mounting:
If brackets or mounting plates are required
7. Certification and Stamping:
If ASME, PED/CE or CRN certification is required. YCZX has had some existing standard air storage tanks which have been ASME and CE certified. For these air storage tanks, customers no need to pay extra cost for the certification.
8. Nameplates:
If a custom nameplate with your company's asset ID, serial number, or other information.
9. Other special requirements or applications
For example inside rustproof painting etc.
The more detailed information the air storage tank manufacturer can get, the more accurate the air tank customization can be built to perfectly fits applications
